I was recently contacted by Caitlin at Mabel’s Labels, and asked to check out their labels, and after checking out their website, I definitely wanted to check them out! When we go out to playdates or the gym, they have to have all of their things labeled. I just recently purchased them their own BPA free waterbottles from Camelbak, and no matter how I tried to write their name on them, it would keep coming off, and I was using permanent ink… Not so permanent. 

Mabel’s Labels sent me a bunch of really cute stick on labels in a variety of colors with my girls’ names on them. The instructions said to stick them to a clean, dry, smooth surface. It also said they were microwave and dishwasher durable labels. I definitely had to put that to the test. 

I washed and dried their water bottles, and once they chose the color label they wanted, I applied their labels to them. They were under strict orders not to peel them off. Of course, they didn’t listen to me and within a day, my girls had picked and scraped their label off. It did take them a long time to do it, which means the adhesive is very good. I decided to try it again a few days later. This time, they left it alone. Sure enough, their bottles have now been through several washes in the dishwasher, and the label is stuck! What a relief! 

I did put a label on one of their plastic plates just to test out the microwave safe statement. Sure enough, it held up in the microwave as well. It didn’t melt, curl up or discolor in any way.

Mabel’s Labels sells all kinds of labels on their site, from clothing tags to home organization, and school labels to stationary! The labels that I received are sold in packs of 45 labels for only $18.50. Once you choose your labels, click on “customize my labels” and the site will take you through entering the name, any icon you want on the label (if available), and the color choices you want. It actually gives you a step by step view of how your label will look once it’s done!!
