Review & Giveaway: Huge Lips, Skinny Hips

hlsh2I’m always looking for a new way to get dolled up and look good! I was watching The Doctors, as I always do, and saw then showing off a new lip gloss called Huge Lips, Skinny Hips. It is supposed to plump your lips and suppress your appetite at the same time!  I thought it had to be one of those too good to be true things, so I looked them up and asked for a review sample. When they said yes, I was super excited!

So I did a little bit of research on this stuff to make sure it wasn’t something super crazy that was going to make my lips sting and plump up like an allergic reaction or something. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the ingredients they use are safe! They used Meadowfoam to keep moisture in and keep the lips soft. It’s packed with Vitamin E that keeps the lips extra supple! There’s lemon peel oil that has a cooling effect. It counteracts the sting. The plump comes from Vitamin B3 which stimulates blood flow and gives the lips a pillowy effect. It also reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around your lips. Another ingredient is orange peel extract, a natural metabolism booster. Last but not least, it contains Hoodia, a natural extract from a cactus type plant from South Africa. There have been studies that have shown Hoodia to target the part of the brain that tells you that you’re full. See.. Nothing bad at all!

Now the colors… Well, these are a different story… They have such dangerously awesome colors that I want to own them all!!! They have interesting names… names that just want to make you unleash that inner diva! My favorite color has to be “Kitty Poledancer”, but I love them all! Other colors include Red Sole, Worship Kate, Love Your Thighs, Lychee Martinis, and No Panty Lines.

Ok, so check this out… although Kitty Poledancer is my favorite color, I decided to show off Worship Kate… Here are a couple of photos I took, by myself that show you what my lips look like before… totally naked…. and after with Huge Lips Skinny Hips. There is actually quite a difference after only 2 minutes after application!

I love that color! As far as whether or not they actually curb my hunger, remains to be seen. I think that is more of a novelty, that maybe if you believe it works, it does… But I personally, haven’t noticed any difference in my eating habits. I’ve been trying to curb my snacking for a while now since I started working out with the EA SPORTS Active… Regardless of whether or not it does curb my appetite, I’m still in love with these lip glosses! If I can find any locally, I’ll be wearing them constantly.

  7. This product has been discussed at my house already. My daughter ran across it in a Seventeen mag. I have very thin lips but have always been skeptical of the plumping products. I would love to give it a try. Btw, the product looks great on you. Your teeth are beautiful!!!

  8. First of all, your teeth are so pretty! Do you use something to make them white? I would love to give the Huge LIps a try. I have tried other products at expensive salons but never bought any…they always make my lips tingle!

  9. Just had to let you know that I was privileged at Blogher with being able to try the Huge Lips, Skinny Hips. (I personally would love it if it would make my hips skinnier..and would be thrilled to keep trying…LOL) But I did like the lip gloss and it even gave my lips a feeling of a slight tingle….that kind of fresh and good feel.
    Mommybrain you are the best and thrilled you’re telling your readers about what seems to be a really great product (especially if it can skinny up these hips some!!)

  12. i’ve been looking out on this lipgloss for a really long time and i’m still debating on whether or not to get it, though i realllyy reallyy want it. i may get it in a store though because that will save me the shipping and handling

  14. Sounds too good to be true! I would love to try it, the last lip plumper I tried burnt my lips like crazy and I threw it out.
