Raise your hand if you suffer from seasonal allergies!!!! *Raising both hands*
Whether we like it, or not, allergy season is on it’s way. I’m not a fan of it, but there’s nothing I can do to keep it from happening. My first Spring in North Carolina was probably the worst. I had no idea that just about every tree in the area dropped pollen everywhere. Seriously… The first time I walked out and found my car coated with yellow stuff, I though someone threw chalk dust all over it. I had no idea that it was that crazy! All I could think of, was how was I going to survive through the Allergy Season?
The first thing I did was stock up on Puffs Plus, with lotion. If I was going to be blowing my nose as much as I thought I was, my poor nose was not going to stand up to regular plain tissues.
The next thing I did was replace all of the air filters in my home. I didn’t get the super expensive ones because I planned on changing them often. I stocked up and was ready!
We did a super deep clean of the entire house. Dusting up high, and dusting down low. We even steam cleaned our carpets to make sure we got all the deep down dust and dirt out of the house.
I stocked up on allergy meds. As much as I hate taking them, they’ve become a necessity for me. Check with your doctor before you start taking any sort of medication!
These are just a few things that we do in our home to try to keep allergies at bay. Depending on the type of allergen in the air, some work a lot, and some work a little.
