Over the years, I’ve heard that a lot of consumers would rather shop at the local electronics store instead of their local Walmart store, mainly because they feel like Walmart doesn’t carry the name brand products that they are looking for….. Ahhh but they do… and usually at lower prices than their competitors…. Walmart is recognizing the fact that they need to make that better known!
Over the next few weeks, you should be seeing some big changes in your local Walmart’s Electronics department! From bringing in over 1000 new products to some pretty cool signage, it’s going to be a whole new experience!
New, easy to see signage will let you know exactly where the electronics department is in the store, and what brands they carry. They’re even bringing some really cool moving signage to the video games section!
More big screen TVs with the product right there so you don’t have to get someone to go get the TV from the back room.
Re-optimized assortment to bring more of the latest and greatest tech from hot brands like Apple, Samsung, Beats, GoPro, Xbox One, Fitbit, Ultimate Ears, etc.
New interactive displays for laptops, tablets, headphones, videogames, Bluetooth speakers
Better adjacencies so that the accessories you need is right next to the actual item it goes with, which makes it so much easier to find the fun things you really want.
Another thing that Walmart is really trying to do is, get people in the know, in the department, and easy to find! Check out the TV Expert at the store we were touring…. He was easy to find, pretty knowledgable.. yes I tested him.. and friendly! GREAT Customer Service Idea Walmart!!!
We had a lot of fun as we were given our tour of the store in Arkansas… Learning all about the ways Walmart is trying to make things better, and easier for shoppers everywhere, and we couldn’t wait to let all of our readers know about it!
