Christmas time is here! Yes, it’s after Thanksgiving, finally, so I can start taking out my Winter/Christmas decorations and not feel bad about putting them out!
Over the years, we’ve really started getting into decorating our home for various holidays. Christmas is one holiday where I just love getting the house all spruced up for. There’s just something about the beautiful poinsettias and sparkly ornaments that make me so excited about this time of year.
Every year, I head over to my local Walmart store to see what new items are on the shelf for decorating, or even making my own decorations for the house. This year, I took my girls along with me to see what they would want to add to our front yard. With Walmart’s low prices, we were able to grab quite a few things to spruce up our outdoor decor!
Here’s what we found!
Prelit Evergreen Garland for only $12.98. In each box, you get two 18ft strands. You can get Clear or Multi-colored lights. We opted for the Multi-colored lights for the front porch.
We found these really cute plastic candy cane yard decorations for only 98¢ each. We got 10 of them to put along our flowerbeds. These do not light up, but they are really cute!
We found some more of the basic – not prelit- evergreen wreaths, $2.98 for 20 inch. I put them together with these red bows ($1.98) and used 3M hooks to place them on our windows. I have to go back and buy two more of each of them when they get some more in!
We also found a really pretty silver glitter star that we made the center decoration on our front porch.
The main door wreath, I made a couple of years ago, using all kinds of goodies from Walmart, and it still looks awesome! I really look forward to building on to our Christmas decor year after year. This year, I spent less than $50 to make my front yard look awesome. I think I’m going to go back and get a few more light sets though. I saw some great ones while I was browsing around the garden section, and with such great prices, how can I not?
Walmart had everything I need, and they’ll probably have everything you need! Why drive all over town when you can get it all at Walmart’s every day low prices?
I want to see how you decorate! Share pictures in the comments, or #MBChristmas on Facebook or Twitter!
