We love cooking with fresh herbs and produce, but Winter is finally settling in, which means my gardening days are over for the year… or does it?

 I set it up in my Kitchen in between two windows, hoping enough natural light comes in as well. It’s also closest to the sink, and where I cook, so grabbing what I need will be quick and easy, if the plants grow as well as promised. Setting the AeroGarden up was a breeze.

Unpack the AeroGarden and install the bulb, and water reservoir. Add about 5 cups of water, or until you reach the fill line. Place the seed pods into the garden, keeping the taller plants towards the back, and shorter plants up front. The top of the seed pods will tell you how tall they should be. Place the grow domes onto the seed pods, and then add the nutrients according to the directions. Plug it in, and that’s it! The garden will do it all for you. About every 2 weeks, a light will come on as a reminder to add nutrients. Just check the label to know how much to add.

We used the 3 herb seed pod, since we love using fresh herbs when we cook. I can’t wait to see how this works. I also love how small the unit is. It takes up half the space my coffee maker takes up on the counter!

The AeroGarden can also great as a teaching tool for little ones who are studying the plant life cycle! I’ll check back with you in a few weeks and let you know how it goes! Stay tuned!
