The holidays mean lots of visitors here in our home. Whether they are here for a few hours, or a few days, one room that everyone spends a little bit of time in, is our downstairs bathroom. We were lucky enough to have a full bathroom (toilet, sink, tub/shower) downstairs rather than just a 1/2 bathroom (toilet & sink), so we decided to turn our downstairs “office” in to the guest room as well. It makes it easier  for our guests, so that they don’t have to deal with stairs, and it makes it nicer for us, giving them that privacy as well.

So, our downstairs, or guest bathroom, is one that gets a lot of use. In a past post, you saw the transformation with painting it a pretty blue. This time, we’re giving it a little bit of a makeover.

We need storage! So, I went to my local Walmart, and picked up a nice Wall Cabinet from Zenith to hang on the wall above the toilet. Since this wall cabinet has a towel bar on it, I removed the towel ring that was on our wall. I have always thought that it was placed in an odd spot, right next to the power outlet. I patched the holes and painted over them, and it’s perfect.

While at the store, I also picked up a couple of new towels for the bathroom. I loved the Mainstays Butterfly Blessing Bathroom Collection! I didn’t need a whole lot of accessories in here, so I just picked up a Hand Towel and a Finger Tip Towel. The prices were so awesome, that I should go back and pick up some more!

I love the little over the faucet shelf that I found too! It’s great for keeping our wax warmer, cotton ball jar and a bottle of lotion on!

It’s just a couple of minor items, but They make a huge difference! I love that we have a spot for spare toilet paper rolls, and I can add a little bit of Holiday Decor on the little cubby shelf!
