Humidity is one of the worst things to have to deal with when it comes to your hair. My hair is almost always up and in a ponytail or a haphazard bun during the hot days of the year, mostly because if it isn’t, it is a big mess. Once in a while I leave it down, but it usually looks a bit dry and still a little rough because of the heat, chlorine and other factors of the season.
I was sent a new hair straightener from Remington called the TStudio PROtect Flat Iron to try out, and while I don’t usually use a straightening iron because my hair is pretty flat, this one has changed my mind.

How do you use it? On the back is a little reservoir that holds the included conditioning treatment, or water.. depending on what you want to use. Open the reservoir, put in the conditioning treatment and replace the reservoir.
Turn on the straightener, and adjust the temperature.
When it’s hot, separate your hair into sections and straighten from root to tip. Press the “steam” button to infuse your hair with moisture and condition it! After using this straightener for a few days, it really seemed like my hair was softer and smoother than with other straightening irons I’ve used. No scientific proof, it just looked really nice!
One other thing that I really liked about this straightener, is the lock switch! I’ve never had a straightener with one, and this makes it very convenient for travel and storage! I can lock it closed and wrap it up and place in my vanity drawer, or in my suitcase! Love it!
