I know… It seems like there is always something new in my kitchen.. Some new gadget or gizmo… They are pretty cool though. This one I can’t wait to try out a little more, but the George Foreman Contact Roaster will be put through the paces here… For this blog post, we tried something simple. It’s something that we make quite a bit, but it requires quite a bit of attention when you make it on the stove top.
We decided to make Gyoza (potstickers) with our George Foreman Contact Roaster and it was so awesome!
Normally, on the stove, you have to fry them, turn them, then add some water, cover and steam them for a few minutes until they’re cooked thoroughly. Sometimes they end up really soggy, sometimes they end up a little crispy… It all depends on how you cook them.
With the George Foreman Contact Roaster, you get a nice, even cook every time. Simply brush each piece with a little bit of olive oil, set up the gyoza in the roaster, set the time for 10 minutes, close it up and that’s it! With that 10 minutes, you can tend to other parts of dinner! When the food is cooked, the timer will let you know that it’s done!
While this particular food was pretty easy, I can’t wait to try something a little more in depth (or even a dessert) when our schedule allows. I’ll update this post with more soon!
