With the hustle and bustle of holiday happenings, you don’t want to have to worry about your home when an unexpected guest comes to stay! Make sure your home is Holiday and Guest ready in a pinch! You can get everything you need to do this at your local Walmart Store!
Here are a few things that you should make sure you have on hand!
1. Extra Toiletries: You don’t have to buy full sized items, but keep a couple of travel sized items, like toothpaste, and toothbrushes around. Someone is sure to forget something, no matter how much they plan. I put a little basket together in the guest bathroom that my guests can grab whatever they need from.
2. New Towels: You may use your towels until they’re faded and no longer soft and fluffy, but do you think your guests would want to? Pick up some new towels at great prices from Mainstays or Better Homes & Gardens! They’ve got a great variety of colors to brighten up your guest bathroom!
3. New Bedding: Walmart has awesome bedding designs at great prices! We have a few bedding sets for the guest bedroom so that we can change it out with the season! If you’re like me and hate to turn the heater on too high, grab an electric blanket to toss on the guest bed too! That way they’ll be warm and cozy!
4. Throw Blankets: I love changing out the living room accessories with the seasons. One thing that I can not live without in my living room, is a soft throw blanket. We LOVE the Better Homes & Gardens Faux Fur Throws, and at under $20, you can grab a couple to have on hand!
5. Scented Candles: When you’re busy cleaning, and cooking, you want to make sure that your house smells good! I found Burt’s Bees Candles in my local Walmart store and about jumped for joy! These candles are Paraffin free, made with a soy wax blend with coconut oil, and natural fragrances… and they smell AH-Mazing! Our favorites are “Pinecones and Cinnamon”, “Ruby Grapefruit”, “Lavender Fields” and “Cotton Blossom”. I also have “Eucalyptus Mint” wax melts for the girls’ rooms when they have stuffy noses!
I hope that this little list can help you beat the stress and be ready for any guests that may come by this holiday season! Happy Shopping!
