It’s been a little while since I’ve tried something new with my skin care line, mainly because I’ve been nervous to try something different. You know, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it? Well, lately, I’ve been feeling a little “off”… I know, aging is inevitable, and so are “problem areas” on my face. Whether it’s the sun, humidity and heat, or the cold and dry air, something is affecting my skin. Just when I started thinking it was time to make a change, Olay dared me to try some products from their Regenerist line and I was excited to see if it helped me out. So… thus began my participation in the 28 Days of Olay study.
My first step was to head over to the Olay Skin Advisor, snap a quick selfie, and answer a few very simple questions about my skin care concerns. From there, it makes suggestions for what products might best fit my skin care needs.
Next, I went over to my local Walmart store and picked up the top two products on my suggestions list, and used them every day for 28 days.
What do I think?
Olay Regenerating Cream Cleanser:
Currently only $6.96, I really like this cleanser. I’ve tried many different brands, and this one is by far one of my favorites to date. It has an exfoliator (NOT microbeads) in it, and after I rinse my face, it feels smooth and moisturized, but not greasy. It’s a great product at a great price! I’m definitely going to keep on using this!
This product is a little more expensive, but well worth it, I think. It’s a gel serum that goes on after you wash your face, and can be used morning and night. It’s lightweight and non greasy. I only wish it contained an SPF for daily wear. They say that after just 4 weeks, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles will be improved. I’m not totally sure on that… what do you think?
Warning: No makeup, no filters
