That little catchy line has been recognized for years as the Klondike commercial. I used to watch the commercials and giggle at the people doing silly things to get their hands (and tastebuds) on a Klondike Bar.
A few weeks ago, the great folks at Klondike sent me a box of their Original bars and they were YUMMY! It didn’t last more than a couple of nights here. My girls even got to try them… although they had to share a bar since they were so big! They also sent us some coupons so we could try out the other varieties, but I must confess… I haven’t tried them out yet. I can still tell you about them though!
Check this out! Straight from the 2009 Klondike News and Notes:
- Six of the Klondike® stickless bars now have a thicker chocolatey shell…25% more chocolatey coating, in fact! And they are now made with a delicious, creamy light ice cream.
- Varieties include Original®, Krunch™, Double Chocolate, White House Cherry, Dark Chocolate and Neapolitan.
- Looking for the great taste of Klondike®, without all the calories? The Klondike® 100 Calorie range (formerly known as the Klondike® Slim-a-Bear line) is the answer. You’re getting 100% Klondike® with 100 calories per bar.
- These 100 Calorie delights include Vanilla stickless bars, Vanilla and Chocolate sandwiches, and the 100 Calorie Variety Pack which includes English Toffee and French Vanilla bars.
- Craving a sweet Klondike® treat with less sugar? Consider Klondike® No Sugar Added products (formerly known as the Klondike® Slim-A-Bear line) including Vanilla and Krunch stickless bars, Vanilla sandwiches and 100 Calorie Fudge bars.
- Klondike® frozen novelties are available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $4.29.
All of this just makes me want to forget about my diet and try them all! Well, sorta…

My favorite part is the chocolatey shell! Yummy!
I drove two cities over to stock up on the new sugar free variety of Klondike bars while they are on special. They are so delicious — I like them even better than the original Klondike bars. My dad used to treat us to these when we were kids, and now they still seem like such a “treat.” Love the crunch of the shell.
