Want to have a great time with the family? Love airplanes or helicopters, but you’re hesitant to take flying lessons? Why don’t you check out the world of Radio Control Flying?!?! It’s EXCITING, it’s SAFE, it’s FUN, and it’s a great FAMILY HOBBY. 

Sacramento Area Modelers R/C Club is hosting their Annual Open House this Saturday, August 16, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There will be several stations to show you the bits and pieces of flying an R/C airplane. We’ll have a couple of flight demos, and a static display of some of our members’ beloved aircraft. There will also be a chance for YOU to fly some of our planes!!!

All participant’s (non SAM Members) aged 15 and up who complete the ground school classes and buddy box flight are also eligible for our raffles.. Prizes include FOUR trainer ARF .40 size airplanes!!! The GRAND PRIZE will be an airplane, radio and engine ready to fly! The winners of the planes will also get free access to the field for the remainder of the 2008 year, provided they purchase AMA insurance. There will also be prizes for all participants younger than 15 years.
