This is week is my girls’ first full week of Kindergarten, and my first full week with no one else in the house but the dog. It’s been a great week of keeping the house cleaned up without the twinados in the house to mess up everything behind me. I’ve kept true to my word, and have used only my Seventh Generation cleaning supplies to clean up my kitchen, bathrooms, and random messes around the house. I’ve loved the scents that they have in their cleaning supplies… They’re not too strong, and they smell so nice! Much different than the smell of bleach, and honestly.. much easier on my lungs and nose. My girls haven’t even scrunched up their noses when they come home from school and smell what I’ve cleaned.
It’s taking a little more scrubbing to get the kitchen sink clean… It’s a white porcelain sink… I’ll never buy one of those when I buy a house… I used to bleach it, let it sit, then scrub and rinse, but now that I’m not using bleach, I have to scrub just a bit more. I don’t mind so much though, especially since our dishes end up in there, and who knows what chemical residue gets left over on them. Speaking of dishes, we’re using the Seventh Generation dishwasher packs now too. They are still getting the dishes clean, and I’m happy with them.
So this past week, I saw what chemicals my TaeKwonDo Academy uses to clean their mats. I told them about the disinfectant products from Seventh Generation, and how they kill 99.99% of germs just like the stuff they use now… but they do it BOTANICALLY… I’m now challenging him to try out Seventh Generation as well! His wife even mentioned that it would be good to try at home since their dogs love getting in to everything… Yes… I am on a mission to make the world a safer place…. one person at a time… 🙂
I’ll have a video for you next post showing you a comparison between what we have used, and the Seventh Generation equivalent… So if you use harsh chemicals now, you can see the much safer alternative that is available from Seventh Generation!
