My girls were given the Fisher Price Kid Tough Camera for Christmas last year, and it was an absolute hit with them! Both of my girls are little geeks, and they love gadgets of all sorts. One of MY gadgets they love to get their hands on is my camera.. and as much as I want to encourage their creativity, I’m scared outta my mind that they’re going to drop it or slam it against something, rendering it useless. I would go crazy without my camera…Every year, family asks us what the girls need would like for their gifts, and this time we knew exactly what to ask for!Â
My husband and I were shopping at Sam’s Club for “Santa’s” Christmas present for the girls, and while walking down another aisle, we saw the Fisher Price Kid Tough Camera. It was just too cool. We actually had a tough time deciding whether to get them the cameras or their play kitchen… We figured it would be better for us to get the kitchen, but definitely mention the cameras to anyone who asked. Sure enough, on Christmas morning, they opened their own cameras.Â
I think gift opening halted when they opened those things. It was too funny. We got a few batteries ready, and off they went to snap some photos of everyone. Of course, the first time they dropped the camera, I was scared. I had hoped it would really live up to it’s name… and it did! They’ve since dropped their cameras down a flight of stairs, and they work without any problems.Â
The camera has a double view finder so they can use both eyes to focus on their subject, or they can use the 1.3″ LCD screen on the back as well. The LCD also shows them the photo that they took so they know what it looks like immediately! They absolutely love their cameras! I love that they’re so user friendly! When the memory is full, they bring the camera to me, and all I have to do is plug in the USB cable to my computer and voila.. iPhoto takes all of the pictures and transfers them to the computer to save! The quality isn’t really all that bad either. Take a look for yourself!Â
I really love these cameras for the girls, and I know they’ll get their use out of them! I just wish there was room for more photos!
All in all, I think this camera is amazing. It really stands up to the tumbles it takes from 3 year olds! I highly recommend getting one for your little shutterbug!!!Â

I’m going to buy one for my nephew for christmas. That kid takes everyones camera and we end up getting the weirdest pics if we don’t realize he’d been playing with it. He took a pic of his brothers butt last christmas and when i uploaded pics to the computer i kept trying to figure out what it was. It was a closeup lol. I finally asked my sisters and i knew i’d hit paydirt when i heard my sister say ” Ty what did you take a picture of tonight with aunt Nessa’s camera?” He started giggling and said ” Bubby’s bootie” So this year he can take pics of all the butts he wants and i don’t have to see em lol.

What a great gift for toddlers! It’s wonderful that it’s so sturdy. I still have the first camera I ever had and always enjoyed taking pictures, still do!
