I absolutely LOVE any type of craft that involves making things that record the size of my girls’ hands and feet!
At Christmas, we made hand and foot Reindeer, and Foot Santa faces. For Valentine’s Day, we made hand hearts, and now for the 4th of July, we are making hand and foot Bald Eagles! They’re super simple and the kids love helping out!
What you’ll need:
- Brown construction paper (the inside of a paper grocery bag works too!)
- Black Marker
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Glue
Download this template: [download id=”16″]. Print and cut out as many Bald Eagle templates as you need.
Here’s how you make it!
- Trace your child’s foot on one piece of brown construction paper and cut it out.
- Fold the other piece of brown construction paper in half, and trace one of your child’s hands on it. Cut around the tracing making two hand cutouts at once.
- Glue pieces together as shown.
- Use the marker to draw feathers on the “wings” and “body” of the eagle!
Voila!
Hope everyone has a great 4th of July!
