So, I wanted to tell you about a couple of new products that I’ve recently had the chance to try out. I thought they were pretty neat, and could very well work for a gift for Mom, or Sister, or whoever you’re looking for something unique and fun to give a gift to.
First up on the list of cool things is Hair Twisters. Jewelry isn’t just for your neck, ears, or hands anymore. Hair Twisters are really neat leather or metal hair accessories that can make any ‘do really cool. I was sent a 6″ pony tail wrap, and I have received quite a few compliments on it. It’s really simple! Make a pony tail, clip the pony tail wrap to your rubber band and twist your hair in it! There is a spot to hang little charms on it, or add other fun things to your hair do! At only $19.95, it makes a cute gift for anyone! Hair Twisters has a bunch of other really fun and unique hair accessories on their site, so check them out!
The next item I checked out was the Bondi Band. Bondi Bands are no slip, sweat wicking headbands and hats. Since I recently started training for a half marathon, I’ve been running a lot, and with that comes sweating like crazy. I was curious just how well the Bondi Band was going to work for me. I was sent 3 different headbands, a blue patterned one, a hot pink one and a black one. I believe the blue one was made of lycra where the pink and black ones were of the wicking material. In any case, I have a really hard time with headbands. I don’t know if it’s the shape of my head, or what, but they will always slide up underneath my hair. I’ve been looking for something that would actually stay put. Unfortunately, this wasn’t my solution. While very cute and functional in keeping my bangs out of my face while on my run, I had to re-adjust my headband a few times when it felt like it was slipping up. If you wear headbands with no problems, this might be a great idea for you. I kind of wish I would have known about the hats at the time! That might have been a better option for me! At only $8.00 for the headbands they have in stock, it’s worth a try! You can even make your own custom headbands ($16)or hats ($30), which is great if you want to keep motivational words or graphics with you!
Last but not least, I know this may sound silly, but another neat gift we’ve been loving is the Rain Forest Biosphere from Dune Craft. My girls actually gave their daddy something similar (found locally) for his birthday last year, and it was pretty cool! Not only is it a gift that keeps on giving, but it makes for some really fun time with the kids! Besides, when it’s freezing cold outside, you can still grow a little garden indoors! Start growing veggies in the Winter, and transplant them in the Spring! Start some flowers in your indoor garden and put them in planter boxes outside! They are sold at the DuneCraft website for $24.99
