… and I’m having nothing but trouble! I have the original iPhone, and was super excited last night about upgrading so I could use some of the fun Apps I downloaded… Well, I hooked my phone up to the computer and downloaded the 218.2MB file… easy… then went thru the back up and install… easy… but now, my phone is stuck! iTunes is trying to access it’s store, and my phone is stuck in “slide for emergency”… NOOOOOOooooo
I’m guessing the “error 9838”, is all about traffic and everyone as obsessed excited as I am about these new apps, among other cool functions… I only wish I could get the new iPhone 3G, but alas… it will have to wait a bit… I love my iPhone anyway… *teehee* but darn it.. Apple couldn’t have prepared for this??? sheesh..Â
Anyone else having trouble? Any ideas? I’m lost without my phone!!!Â
UPDATE: It is now 11:55am, and I have finally connected to iTunes… My phone is restoring from backup and completing the update process… THANK GOD!!! I’ve been nearly 3 hours without my phone… Not near as long as other people I’ve seen around the ‘net… Seems like A LOT of people have had issues with this…Â
It took 20-30 minutes for my installation to finish, so don’t worry if it takes a long time!
I also had to unplug the phone and plug it in again after it was done.
@Geoffrey- Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog!!!
I also had to unplug several times… It’s working now.. Mostly. There are a couple of apps that aren’t syncing for some crazy reason. At least I can use my phone though.
