Over the last few weeks, we have been learning about oral health care, and the things that I have learned have been so interesting. We participated in the #HealthyHabits Listerine Challenge, and it was actually kind of funny! It just happened to come about at the perfect time! We all were scheduled to get our checkups and cleanings during this challenge! All of us actually got complimented on how well our teeth were doing!
My girls did very well. They used their Oral Care Chart, which helped them keep on schedule with their morning and evening tooth brushing schedules. I have been so lucky with them, because they actually LIKE to brush their teeth, and when cool, new things are involved, they jump on it so fast! They absolutely loved their new Barbie and Phineas & Ferb tooth brushes, and Smart Rinses. We made sure their bathroom sink was all set up for them, with their little cups and tooth brush holders. We made sure they had their favorite toothpaste handy, and that was it. During this challenge, we even had one of my girls lose one more of her baby teeth, so she’s been very excited to keep her new grown up teeth nice and clean!
I, on the other hand, have had to force myself to remember to use my rinse! I love using it, I just hadn’t been in the habit of using it! After a few weeks of using it, I have to say, I am pretty impressed. I love how my teeth feel, and strangely enough, they don’t seem to be as susceptible to temperatures.
This challenge is something that was fun for us, and I really hope that you will do your own Oral Health Challenge!
