I was recently given the chance to try out VTech’s LS6475-3 cordless phone and headset, and I have to say, I really do love it.

The LS6475-3 comes with two handsets, and a DECT 6.0 cordless headset, and along with it’s digital answering machine, it’s a telephone system that does everything we need.

The cordless handsets can be used with Push-to-Talk which allows conversations like a walkie-talkie. We really like this feature for when one of us is working upstairs and the other is downstairs, or one in the garage or outside and the other of us is inside the house. It comes in really handy! They also can be set to announce who is calling! Of course, you have to subscribe to caller ID for that feature to work, and the caller has to have their information visible.

The phone book on this unit is awesome. If you add an entry on one phone, it automatically adds it to every handset connected to the base unit.

I take a lot of phone calls while I’m working, and many times, I’m typing to take notes, or just keep working. The cordless headset is awesome. It has a clip that fits over my ear to hold it securely. There is also an over the head band included if you’d rather use it like that.

The digital answering machine is pretty good as well! The message come through  very clear, and there’s actually quite a bit of room for messages!

The biggest deal here is that the DECT 6.0 technology doesn’t mess with any of our other wireless devices… and in our family, we have quite a bit! The sound quality is excellent, and interference is almost non-existant.

This unit is also expandable to up to 12 handsets!
