Whew! I think we made it! Halloween brought so much candy to our house. Of course, this was the first year that our neighborhood was really full of residents. Our girls were so excited to go to as many houses as they could, so we started out early. By the time we were heading home, their pumpkin buckets were nearly full. I wasn’t the least bit worried though. We had a plan!
For the last month, we had really been working on brushing, flossing and rinsing. We had to really work on remembering to do everything, and not just one or the other. Not only that, but my girls had been brushing too quickly. We needed to break them of that habit. We took our time by actually setting a timer! It helped! They’ve gotten into the habit, so now it’s not a huge fight to keep them brushing for the full time that they should be!
This challenge also helped me keep my habits going as well. The last time we did a similar challenge, I had to work on flossing… I’m good there, and this time I worked on rinsing more. Using an alcohol free rinse was suggested by my dentist, and that was something that was hard to remember at first. I had to keep it out on the counter so that I would see it all the time.
Thank you Listerine for allowing us to be a part of the Smart Rinse Challenge! I learned some new tricks, and I’m very grateful for the chance to keep our teeth healthy in all the right ways!
