I was out and about, wandering the internet researching for Green Mondays, and I came across the site, SEQL.org, or Sustainable Environment for Quality of Life. I surfed around the site a bit, and came across an awesome list of ways to help save the environment… I’m going to give you a few of their ideas, and if you’d like to see the rest of them, please check out their complete list! They have a lot of excellent information about how to save the environment, and they’re all simple ideas that just about anyone can do!!!Â
With it being Summer, and a lot of us are looking for ways to cool down, I think information about conserving and preserving our water supply are definitely an order!! Here’s what they have for us to try!!!

- Install water-saving devices on your faucets and toilets.
- Don’t wash dishes with the water running continuously.
- Wash and dry only full loads of laundry and dishes.
- Follow your community’s water use restrictions or guidelines.
- Install a low-flow shower head.
- Replace old toilets with new ones that use a lot less water.
- Turn off washing machine’s water supply to prevent leaks.Â
Ways to Protect Our WaterÂÂ
- Revegetate or mulch disturbed soil as soon as possible.
- Never dump anything down a storm drain.
- Have your septic tank pumped and system inspected regularly.
- Check your car for oil or other leaks, and recycle motor oil.
- Take your car to a car wash instead of washing it in the driveway.
