By now, I’m sure you’ve seen the strange looking bottles with the Windex logo on them in your local Walmart store. You may have wondered what the heck it is. Well, I am here to tell you a little bit about them! The are a new product called Windex Touch-Up. What is it?
“Windex Touch-Up is a breakthrough innovation that delivers a new way to clean in the kitchen and around the house. Its attractive container can be kept on the counter for quick spills or messes and it has an antibacterial formula that kills 99.9% of common household bacteria. It is easy to use with any material of choice, and comes in two fragrances (Glistening Citrus and Fresh Scent). Dab it. Clean it. Done.”
I received a couple of these to try out. One for the Kitchen and one for the Bathroom, and decided I’d give them a try. While the concept is a great one, the execution wasn’t what I had hoped. So. The idea is that you take the paper towel, cloth, whatever, and press down on the top to squirt some of the cleaner into the cloth. From there you can wipe up whatever mess you are cleaning up. The problem I had was that the cleaner was on such a small part of the cloth, you had to move it over and press it again to get a good size cleaning area on the cloth. I understand this is supposed to be for small messes, maybe like drips of meat or something small. It just seemed a little too small to deal with my counters if I want to quickly wipe them down.
Some of the pros to this products: I do like the fact that I can clean up something small, right away without spraying cleaner all over the place, and it floating in the air, and possible overspray onto food, or whatever I’m working on at the moment. I also like that I can use this to quickly wipe off my food scale! It’s perfect for that! I use my food scale frequently, and sometimes I’ll drop a piece of something on it, and need to wipe it off. This works perfectly for that!
