Summer is definitely here! It’s time to spend time at the pool, or make a quick trip to the beach… or both!
So after we had some fun making our new beach towel wraps, we decided it was time for some new swim suits! My girls are growing so tall, so fast that they aren’t fitting in last year’s swim suits any more. I don’t want to spend a fortune buying new swim suits and of course, we want super cute ones. For the last few years, I’ve purchased almost all of our swim gear at Walmart, and so, we headed to our Walmart store to see what they had for us this year!
The selection was great! There were swim suits of all different colors, and styles, and we were very lucky to be able to find our sizes in just about everything we liked! After much digging through all the bright colors and cute characters, we ended up finding two very cute tankinis for my girls that they really liked. One of my girls loved the bright neon orange and yellow, and my other daughter was totally stuck on Hello Kitty. I was expecting to pay somewhere around $15-20 a piece, and was very surprised when the tags were only about $8 and $12 for the sets!
For the grown-ups, I found my swim suit for just about $16 a piece! I found a great new top for myself since I already had a fairly new bottom. I love love love my new top! My girls love their new swim suits, and we couldn’t wait to take them to the beach! I am very impressed with the durability of the swim wear as well. My girls spend more time in the pool than anywhere else during the Summer, and that chlorine and rough pool side can take a toll on their swim suits. So far, their suits have totally outlasted their wear and tear, and I’m definitely getting our money’s worth from their suits.
We are planning on some long days at the pool, and even a vacation in the water!!! They’re very excited to take these suits on the road!
While we were there, we grabbed a couple of new, and totally cute beach towels for the girls too. For about $5, they were able to pick out a really cute beach towel and some chair clips for about $4. I think we are totally set for the Summer now!
If you’re looking for a really cute, and durable swim suit for yourself or your kids, Walmart should definitely be on your list of places to check! Why spend tons of money on a swim suit when you might not have to!
