What is Bilibo, you ask??? Well, it’s just about anything you really want it to be! It’s a big plastic THING! Goore’s on Marconi Ave, was kind enough to loan me a Bilibo for the purposes of this review. When I brought it home to my girls, they looked at me a little strangely. “What is that Mommy?” I told her the same thing… “It’s anything you want it to be silly.” That’s when I saw their imaginations open up..Â
One of my girls saw the pictures on the little booklet that was attached to it, and she immediately wanted to “wear” it like a turtle’s shell. My other daughter, now curious, wanted to play with it as well. I had only one, so they needed to share. I explained that they had to take turns with the toy, and watched to see what they did with it. Once Victoria was done with it, she passed it on to Alexandra. She apparently needed a place to sit, so she flipped it over and used it like a chair.. until she flipped over backwards in it. Â
After a couple of minutes each with the bilibo, they were done with it. I’ve asked them if they wanted to play with it, and it’s just remained in the corner of their playroom.Â
I had hoped they would really play with it, but it didn’t seem like something they were interested in. They’d rather play dress up, or “cook” in their kitchen. It’s rated for children ages 2-7, and it comes in a whole rainbow of colors. It looks great for indoor and outdoor play.Â
If you’d like to check them out, you can get them at Goore’s. They cost $27.99.
